The companies TOPAG and FEMTUM announce a partnership in the marketing of mid-IR fiber lasers. TOPAG will represent FEMTUM exclusively in Germany and Austria. The Canadian company FEMTUM Inc. is a spin-off from the University of Quebec and has developed compact and reliable mid-IR fiber lasers that could pave the way for breakthrough applications in industry, science, healthcare and the environment.
FEMTUM’s product range includes ns pulsed systems for the processing of e.g. semiconductors, the structuring of thin films and polymer welding in industry as well as ultrafast, tunable fiber lasers that are ideal for scientific applications such as spectroscopy and nonlinear optics. FEMTUM’s lasers are now commercially available. Some applications of these reliable and maintenance-free fiber lasers are presented below.
